Workshops

Lead by Artist-Teacher Laura, workshops are aimed at the developing artist or those wishing to re-ignite their creativity. Suitable for beginner or intermediate artists. Workshops seek to explore the sketchbook as a place for gathering and recording inspiration in visual ways through mark-making, experimental drawing and mixed media. This is an opportunity to take inspiration from suggested ways of working, learn new ways of looking and explore visual ways of recording ideas to inform your own practice or simply enjoy some time out.

Sketchbook Short Course with Laura

A short course in exploring sketchbooks with emphasis on mark-making, experimental drawing and mixed media.

Aimed at building confidence, removing the fear of the blank page and enjoying trying out a range of different media and guided techniques.

We will create surfaces, walk and draw, gather visual information en-plein air and collect ephemera to use as inspiration back in the studio.

Further short courses will be avilable to develop these ideas through a variety of techniques such as print, collage and expressive drawing techniques.
